8/8/8 ~ Super Soul Skater Sisters

For nearly a decade I have participated in a unique ritual of which I've seen no evidence of peerage. I've searched for a likeness to the coven of female friends I've come to call my "Super Soul Skater Sisters" who meet regularly to partake in a sunset ceremony of music and rollerskating against a Pacific Ocean sunset backdrop. But I've yet to encounter anything resembling the deification of this 70's pasttime which can rival our existence. Occasionally one will spot the random, lone rollerskater sporting old school quads and headphones, or a couple of teenage girls struggling to familiarize themselves with a social phenomenon that predated them. But I've come to realize that the enduring presence of a group of local Venice female friends who together trek 10+ miles in a collective meditative trance set to personalized music mixes is cause for some form of visual immortalization. Hence the commencement on 8/8/8 of what will become the quintessential tribute to celebrate outdoor rollerskating and chronicle the friendships and lifestyle of a close-knit group of women known as the "Super Soul Skater Sisters".
